CASUAL PANTS LIKE KENNETH MORTON AND LEE TO FIT THE SHORT STATURED MAN

The key to the shorter man getting a pant that fits is to get short rise pants. Short rise refers to the measurement from the top of the pant to the bottom of the crotch. Most men mistakenly believe that there is a different pattern for every inseam. That couldn't be further from the truth. There is only one pattern per waist size. The only way to get rid of the baggy pant is to get a pant with a short rise.

Shorter inseam pants can always be had by shortening them. True short man's clothing has to be proportioned and that means shortening the rise. That not only shortens the distance from the top of the pant to the crotch, but also narrow the hip and and legs. Once that is done the inseam actually changes. When you raise the crotch the distance to the floor gets longer. So when getting a short rise pant for a shorter size man's clothing be aware that you may end up with a different inseam measurement than you thought.

Napoleon's Tailor has the ability to cut a pant to any inseam you wish, though we do not recommend that until you have tried on our pants and determined what waist size and brand is best for you. Feel free to call us at 800.233.9522 for any information or advice we can give you.
